Kevin Costner had a catch at the new Field of Dreams field in Dyersville, Iowa.
The old field featured in the 1989 movie is still intact, with the new one built right across by Major League Baseball for Thursday's game against the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees — the two teams playing ball in the movie.
Before the first pitch, the players and coaches from each team walked out of the cornstalks, shaking Costner's hand as they took their respective sides ahead of the National Anthem.
"On the other side of that corn we filmed a movie that stood the test of time," Costner said to open the game. "Tonight, thanks to that enduring impact that that little movie had, it's allowed us to come here again.

"We've come to see the first place White Sox play the Mighty Yankees in the field that was once corn," he said. "It's perfect."
The field still has corn in it. Just ask Dylan Cease and White Sox pitching coach Ethan Katz who took in some fun, pregame activities.
Cease took a bite and immediately spit it out after realizing it was, indeed, field corn and didn't taste like the kind prepared at the dinner table.
Something a little bit better tasting for fans in attendance was the apple pie hot dog created by famous chef Guy Fieri who partnered with Chevrolet specifically for this event.
A game of cornhole near the cornfield, anyone?
And, of course, a storybook ending by Tim Anderson to cap off such a magical night!
