Nebraska enters the weekend at 3-4 on the season and 1-3 in the Big Ten Conference following a 32-29 loss to No. 9 Michigan in Lincoln on Saturday. All four of Nebraska's losses have come by a single score, including three to top-20 opponents.
Minnesota heads into the game with a 3-2 overall record and a 1-1 Big Ten mark. The Gophers enjoyed a bye weekend after escaping from West Lafayette, Ind., with a 20-13 win over Purdue on Oct. 2. Minnesota's only other Big Ten game came with a 45-31 season-opening loss to Ohio State at Huntington Bank Stadium. The Gophers also suffered a 14-10 home loss to Bowling Green (Sept. 26). Minnesota did notch a 31-26 home victory over Miami (Ohio) on Sept. 11. Nebraska will be the first visiting team from outside the state of Ohio to venture to Minnesota this season.
While Minnesota is coming off a bye week, Nebraska will be closing its eighth consecutive week of competition before heading into a bye next weekend.
