Seahawks Social Justice
Over the past year, the Seahawks have teamed up with organizations like Choose 180 and Creative Justice to get to work in Seattle and beyond. At the Seahawks Social Justice Page, you'll find recaps of these unique partnerships, ways to support, and more to be added throughout the year.
Choose 180, for example, seeks to transform the lives of youth and young adults by empowering them with choice and teaching them the skills necessary to avoid engagement with the criminal legal system. On Dec. 6, running back Chris Carson laced up his custom Choose 180 cleats to show his support during the Seahawks My Cause My Cleats game vs. the Giants. The following week, the Seahawks selected Choose 180 Executive Director Sean Goode as the honorary 12 Flag Raiser for Seahawks vs. Jets.
Taking the partnership to new heights, the Seahawks worked with directors Gavin P. Sullivan and Bryan Tucker to produce "In Community, By Community," a short documentary highlighting Choose 180's mission to establish criminal justice reform in King County.
