For the first time since 1917, there will not be a season in the Big Ten Conference for football happening in the fall.
The conference decided on Tuesday that it will not play any sports in the fall, though it could bring some athletics back in the spring. The sports being postponed are men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, football, men’s and women’s soccer, and women’s volleyball.

After coaches and players took to social media the day before to try and save the season, many returned to Twitter to react to the news that there would not be any fall sports in 2020.
