Palm Beach Media Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hour Media in Troy, and publisher of Palm Beach Illustrated, Naples Illustrated, Fort Lauderdale Illustrated, Jupiter Magazine, Stuart Magazine, AVENTURA, and Florida Design, today announced it has acquired the assets of Vero Beach Magazine from Moulton Media.

“We have long admired what Beth Moulton and her team have created with this excellent publication. We look forward to continuing their model of success,” says Terry Duffy, group publisher of Palm Beach Media Group.

Palm Beach Media Group and Hour Media will focus their resources to enhance client service, reader experience, and product distribution in the marketplace.

Vero Beach magazine is a 20-year plus success story,” says John Balardo, president of Palm Beach Media Group and its parent, Hour Media. “This acquisition represents an ideal opportunity to extend our current roster of lifestyle, design, and custom publications in the Florida market.”

The monthly magazine offers feature stories such as Ian Cooper’s flight school called Skyborne Academy, entrepreneur Amy Mallouk and her Mallookie’s Cookies business, and a spotlight of the Vero Beach winter home of the Crain family, owners of Crain Communications in Detroit. The latter story details the elaborate games the extended family plays while on vacation.

Vero Beach magazine has built a respected publication that has been part of the Florida publishing landscape for decades,” says Stefan Wanczyk, CEO of Hour Media.

Beth Mouton, founder and CEO of Moulton Media, says she is “looking forward to the opportunities ahead for Vero Beach Magazine and the staff. While continuing the magazine’s mission to support the local community, the team will now have access to all the resources and experience of a larger, more sophisticated publishing group. It’s gratifying to watch the magazine I founded 24 years ago become part of Palm Beach Media Group and the Hour Media family.”

Hour Media and its related entities are multi-media companies that publish and produce more than 150 magazines and custom titles, 40 consumer websites, and 70 shows and events throughout the United States.

Hour Media Group is the largest publisher of city and regional magazines in the country and publishes numerous magazines including Atlanta Magazine, Cincinnati Magazine, Florida Design, Fort Lauderdale Illustrated, Grand Rapids Magazine, Hour Detroit, Jupiter Magazine, Los Angeles Magazine, Minnesota Monthly, Naples Illustrated, Orange Coast, Palm Beach Illustrated, Pasadena Magazine, Sacramento Magazine, Stuart Magazine, and DBusiness magazine.

The company has 11 offices, including in Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, and Ohio, with more than 300 employees across the country.
